For 3D portraits, we normally remove the background so the subjects stand out. For 2D engraving, the background can usually remain. If you want a specific treatment, leave a note at checkout.

Yes. Laser engraving is naturally grayscale, so both colour and black-and-white photos can be used.

Our personalised products use optical-grade K9 crystal selected for its clarity, brilliance and smooth finish. The engraving is created inside the crystal, leaving the outer surface intact.

No. Subsurface laser engraving forms the image with tiny points inside the crystal, so the result is grayscale rather than printed colour.

The crystal can stand on its own. An LED base is optional and can be selected where available to illuminate the engraving. Compare the options in our LED base guide.

Handle it with care, place it on a stable surface and clean it with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and protect it from hard impacts.
